Shalom everyone! This is Rabbi Brian I'm glad you joined us for another episode of the Dust of the Rabbi podcast. In this new season, season 5, we want to dive into some things maybe you've never known and never understood in regards to repentance from a Jewish perspective. We often think of repentance as just saying “I’m sorry,” but what if it’s something deeper? In this episode, we explore the ancient Jewish concept of Teshuvah—not just feeling regret, but returning to our Creator and restoring relationships. We will discover the four steps of Teshuvah that leads to a real transformation and healing.

🎙Four Steps to the Teshuvah Process:

🔹 1. Recognize the wrong (Hakarat HaChet) – Admit where you’ve strayed.

🔹 2. Feel the weight (Charatah) – Genuine sorrow leads to change.

🔹 3. Turn back (Azivat HaChet) – Leave behind what caused separation.

🔹 4. Commit to a new path (Kabbalah Le’atid) – Walk differently as we move forward on a new path; accepting a resolution upon oneself for the future

Do you need to move from just feeling sorry to real Teshuvah?

Is there someone you need to apologize to—taking responsibility, not just saying “I’m sorry”?

Where is God calling you to return today?

Are you ready to move beyond empty apologies and experience true restoration? If you let me become your rabbi and you're willing to get dusty from the dust of the rabbi and download ancient Jewish wisdom, it's going to rock your world and strengthen your faith in this new year 2025. Remember, God isn’t waiting to punish you—He’s waiting to restore you. The moment you turn back, He’s already running to meet you. So let's jump in to our second episode and dive in so we can start the Teshuvah Process, as we download Ancient Jewish Wisdom, and become dusty from the dust of the rabbi, and drink in His words with thirst.
